Yuta Koshida

Hello, I’m Yuta, a driver and guide born and raised in Kanazawa.

Combining driving and guiding is one of my greatest strengths. It allows me to adapt each tour to the weather, traffic and local conditions, as well as to my guests’ interests and pace.

From Kanazawa, I guide travellers through Shirakawa-go, Gokayama, Inami, Takayama, Hida-Furukawa and the Noto Peninsula. While famous destinations such as Shirakawa-go and Takayama are well worth visiting, they can become very busy during holidays and peak seasons. When guests prefer a quieter experience, I love introducing them to beautiful, less-visited places nearby. Inami, with its woodcarving tradition and peaceful atmosphere, is one of my favourite examples.

Having grown up in Kanazawa, I also enjoy showing visitors the city through a local’s eyes and sharing places and stories they might otherwise miss.

I welcome solo travellers, couples, families and groups of up to nine guests. As a father of four, I understand the needs of families travelling with children and do my best to create a relaxed and comfortable experience for everyone.

My guiding service is offered together with a private vehicle charter through Fuji Taxi, and I personally handle tour enquiries and reservations. Whether you already have an itinerary in mind or would like some suggestions, I’ll be happy to create a flexible day around you.
