Hello,
I’m Maki, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter based in Nagoya.
Having lived in Poland, I know how exciting — and sometimes a little overwhelming — it can be to explore another country. I also know how helpful it is to have someone you can ask all those little questions along the way.
I enjoy exploring Nagoya through the connections between its history, culture, and everyday life. At Nagoya Castle and the Tokugawa Art Museum, we can look into the samurai families who shaped the region. At Atsuta Shrine, we can take a closer look at traditions that remain part of life today. And in Ōsu, we can wander through the lively streets, browse the shops, and enjoy local food.
Food, craftsmanship, and industry are also great ways to discover Nagoya, from miso and sake to the story of Toyota and the region’s manufacturing heritage.
If you would like to explore beyond Nagoya, we can also visit nearby places such as Komaki and Inuyama.
Tell me what interests you, what you have already seen, and how you like to travel. Together, we can plan a private tour at a pace that feels right for you.
